When your doctor prescribes physical therapy, we request that each patient call their insurance company and ask what does their benefits cover for outpatient physical therap. Does the plan have copays or coinsurance? How many visits are allowed for outpatient physical therapy? If the deductible applies, has it been met? Is a referral is required? Is authorization required? The patient should always understand how their insurance works for them.
We will accept Motor Vehicle Accident injuries, however, we prefer not to accept third party insurance. Healing Hands will bill the patient’s own PIP (Personal Injury Protection) or Med Pay directly. Healing Hands will review each accident case on a case by case basis, to learn the totality of the entire accident and determine the outcome of treatment with our office. Healing Hands has the right to refuse any Motor Vehicle Accident case.
Worker’s Compensation injuries are accepted with PRIOR authorization from the Worker’s Compensation Insurance. Healing Hands will need the prescription for physical therapy, case/claim #, case/claim adjuster’s name and phone #, and the date of injury in order to obtain authorization.
Please don’t hesitate to call with any questions concerning your health insurance.
